What photo works best for a house portrait?
A straight-on photo taken from across the road or garden works best. Good natural light and a clear view of the front of the building.
Can you paint an old family home?
Yes. Old photos of family homes, even quite grainy ones, can work very well especially for watercolour and pencil sketch styles.
